Salah, the Egyptian wonderboy has captured the hearts of many football fans across the world especially with what he has produced at his current club, Liverpool. However, before Anfield fame, the 27-year-old kickstarted his youth career at El Mokawloon where was to be discovered by Swiss Super League club, Basel where he was to begin his development after signing a four-year deal.

Salah made his strides and at Basel is where he was discovered by Premier League club, Chelsea. However, it was a rather strange move and he was hardly used during the 2014/15 season despite making three league appearances. Thereafter he was shipped out on loan to Fiorentina and his luck proved to change as the side wanted to make the move permanent; reports claim that Salah rejected the deal and opted to join Roma.

The Egypt international peaked at the Serie A club and he was scoring goals nonstop and making the deal permanent just seemed sweeter for Roma. Salah agreed to make a move to Liverpool on June 22, 2017, where was to be signed on a record fee of 42 million euros. He became the first Egyptian in history to be signed by the club and he has gone to make great individual success at the club which has won him numerous awards for his remarkable performances - and he proves to not be slowing down anytime soon.

The Swiss club changed their stance and signed Elneny on a permanent basis on June 30, 2017. He managed to make approximately 75 appearances and scored five goals during his time at Basel.

The Telegraph
Elneny was known for his impressive range of passing and enjoying shooting from a distance when he had the ball - not forgetting physically strong and good with tackling. One can say that was the reason why he attracted the attention of Premier League side, Arsenal.

The Egyptian made his move to Arsenal in January 2016 for a fee in the regions of £7mil under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger. Elneny managed to make approximately 46 appearances for the Blues but no goals under his belt.

The 27-year-old signed a season-long loan deal with Besiktas on Agust 31, 2019 with an option to make the deal permanent and in this move, he would hope to garner more game time which he struggled with at Arsenal.

Elmo was known for his immense speed, crossing ability and flashy dribbling with Egypt national team which he was able to follow suit with for Sunderland although Steve Bruce believed at the time that there was always room for improvement for a player of his calibre.

On Agust 30, 2012, he joined Hull City on a season-long loan where he reunited with Steve Bruce and the reunion would prove successful. He achieved much success where he saw himself win the Player of the Season award. The permanent move was made in 2013 and in 2017 he went on to sign a three-year extension.

He is currently plying his trade for Aston Villa and has made approximately 81 appearances since joining the side back in 2017. He has two goals to his name and hopefully this season he can continue to soar on the pitch.

  • Height: 1.80m
  • Club: Aston Villa

A fun fact on the Egypt international for those who didn't know is that his nickname 'Trezeguet' derived from youth coach and former Al Ahly midfielder Badr Ragab due to his striking resemblance to the French forward David Trezeguet.

The 24-year-old kick-started his career at Egyptian Premier League giants Al Ahly where he broke into the first team at the age of 18 and he was rise to stardom thereafter. Trezeguet was to have his comfort zone tested when he was made the move Belgium and signed with RSC Anderlecht in 2015 for a fee that was in the region of 1million euros and the following year the move was made permanent and he joined the history of most expensive players from Al Ahly after former Angola international Flavio Amado.

Trezeguet joined Mouscron on loan where he seemed to have had a successful spell with the Belgian club where he made approximately 20 appearances and taking his goal tally to four.

The Egypt international was to move yet again and this time he would find himself in Turkey signed by Kasimpasa on a season-long loan. His luck proved to be on point as he joined much success on the pitch and finding the back of the net. During his time at the Turkish outfit, Trezeguet scored 15 goals in total from 72 appearances - to prove the success of the move, he found himself being nominated for the Super Lig Player of the Year award.

Fast forward to July 24, 2019, the Egypt international signs with Aston Villa for a fee in the region of £8million and it is yet to be seen how he will fare in the Premier League which is a new test for him.
