Last weekend’s Absa Premiership weekend saw 14 goal scorers, including two braces at the Orlando Stadium and in Nelspruit. Who all scored?
Cape Town City’s central midfielder Thabo Nodada stood out highest. Nodada’s possibly the man of the weekend. Grabbing a brace from midfield is special enough. Not to mention doing it in your first start since getting injured back in February.
Tshegofatso Mabasa’s brace isn’t any less special. Making his league start for Pirates on Saturday, the 22-year-old striker did the business with two second-half goals.
Here are all the weekend’s goal-scorers:
- SuperSport 3-3 CT City
9’, 55’ Nododa, 18’ Kermit Erasmus (City)
5’ Sipho Mbule, 23’ Bradley Grobler, 65’ Thamsanqa Gabuza (SuperSport).
- Pirates 2-1 Chippa United
55’, 60’ Mabasa (Pirates), 79’ Lerato, Manzini (Chippa).
- Golden Arrows 1-1 AmaZulu
37’ Mduduzi Sibiya (Arrows), 59’ Bonginkosi Ntuli (AmaZulu).
- Kaizer Chiefs 0-1 Polokwane City
16’ Jabu Maluleka (City).
- Celtic 2-1 Stellenbosch FC
61’ Maloisane Ramasimong, 63’ Siphelele Luthuli (Celtic), 34 Waseem Isaacs (Stellenbosch)

Meanwhile, the action will continue this week with the MTN8 semi-finals. Highlands Pack take on Polokwane City on Tuesday, while Mamelodi Sundowns will lock horns with SuperSport United on Wednesday.
