Ghana international Asamoah Gyan is reportedly on his way to the Indian Super League with a possibility of signing for NorthEast United in the upcoming season according to Ghanasoccernet reports.
Gyan is currently a free agent after the expiration of his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor.
Ghanasoccernet revealed that NorthEast and Gyan's representatives are already in advanced talks and the official news could be announced any moment soon.
According to reports, the 33-year-old is set to replace Nigerian player Bartholomew Owogbalor Ogbeche who was top scorer at the club with 12 goals for last season.
The 2019/20 Indian Super League kickstarts on October 20, but NorthEast will play against Bengaluru on Monday, September 23.
