Chelsea coach Frank Lampard is expected to ring changes to his side when they take on Grimsby on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup.
The Englishman has trusted a host of young players in his maiden season in English top-flight football and is expected to give more young talents some gametime.
Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, James Mount and Billy Gilmour are some of the young talents who have had playing time with the senior team, with others still waiting in the wings for an opportunity.
Lampard had confirmed Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi will be involved against Grimsby, having made successful recovery following long-term injuries.
The two have featured for the U-23 side twice now, and are being ushered into the first-team action with more minutes in the competition.
One other academy graduate who might be thrown into the starting lineup is Marc Guehi, and might partner Zouma in the heart of defense.
Christian Pulisic, who has not been involved in teh last couple of matches is also expected to feature, with Mitch Batshuayi coming in for Abraham.
