FKF Div One: Muhoroni Youth begins campaign with a win

Defending Kenyan Premier League Top Eight Champions Muhoroni Youth begun their second season in the FKF Division One with a 2-1 win over Transmara Sugar on Sunday 13 October; Calvince Odoyo scoring both goals for the visitors.

In the Zone B where Muhoroni is, there was a total of eight games that took place over the weekend with Kisumu Hot Stars being another team that came out with entire points following their 2-0 win over Sindo United.

Others who won included MMUST, Soy United, Bungoma Superstars, Silibwet, Zoo Youth and Egerton.

Muhoroni who are placed fourth on the log after Match Day One will be hosting St. Joseph’s Youth academy in their next tie at the Muhoroni Stadium on a day that Kisumu Hotstars will be up against Zoo Youth.

Zone A

In Zone A, Ligi Ndogo who missed promotion to the National Super League lasts season via a playoff leads the log following their opening day 3-0 win over Green Berets.

Gor Mahia Youth started their debut campaign in this tier on a losing note after going down 3-0 at the hands of Vapour Sports in a match played at Hope Center-Kawangware.

Mwatate United registered a 1-0 win over neighbour’s SS Assad as Naivas FC battled to a One-all draw against Makueni Nunguni; the same result registred in the match between Kangemi All-Stars and Liberty Sports Academy.
