Former Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne congratulated Brigid Kosgei and Eluid Kipchoge for breaking marathon records over the weekend but snubbed reacting to Kenya's loss over Mozambique.
Migne was axed by Football Kenya Federation after a poor tournament in the African Cup of Nations and a shock home loss to Tanzania on penalties that ousted Stars from the African Nations Championship (CHAN). The French manager has been without a job since then but expressed interest in settling in the country.
Brigit Kosgei completed a sensational weekend of road running after she broke the world record at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday, winning the IAAF Gold Label road race in 2:14:04.
The record came barely 48-hours after Eliud Kipchoge became the first man to cover 26.2 miles within two hours, clocking 1:59:41 in Vienna.
Migne congratulated the two athletes for their outstanding performances through his official Facebook account but remained mum on commenting about Harambee Stars performance after losing out to Mozambique 1-0 at home.
