Zimbabwe have become one of the first nations to announce a squad for next month’s AFCON 2021 qualifiers.

The Warriors are aiming at making a third successive AFCON qualification after making Gabon 2017 and Egypt 2019. The quest for AFCON 2021 has begun with an early naming of the squad list of to face Botswana and Zambia next month.

Interim coach Joey Antipas will lead his side in Harare on 15 November against Botswana - before a huge Southern derby against Zambia’s Chipolopolo on the 19th away.

Some notable names in the group include the return of Knowledge Musona after his AFCON 2019 controversy, while nine new faces are in the form Martin Mapisa, Cliff Moyo, Adam Chicksen, Admiral Muskwe, Jordan Zemura, Douglas Nyaupembe, Jordan Zemura , Jonah Fabisch & Macauley Bonne.

The midfield will look particularly powerful with the inclusion of Marvelous Nakamba of Aston Villa and Stade Reims' Nyasha Marshall Munetsi.
