Ghana international defender John Boye is set to miss out on the Black Stars' opening Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers due to injury woes, Ghanasoccernet understands.
Boye sustained an injury during FC Metz's 1-0 victory over FC Nantes in Ligue 1 two weeks ago and that rules him out of Ghana's games against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe - respectively.
The 32-year-old who has been outstanding for Metz since joining them from Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor could not complete his game against the Canaries.
According to reports, he suffered the injury during the game but was eventually replaced by Zambia international Stopilla Zunzu at the halftime break.
Boye also mossed out on his side's Olympie Lyon over the weekend where they suffered a 2-0 loss.
Ghana are set to host Bafana Bafana on November 14 in Accra.
