πŸ‡΅πŸ‡±πŸ₯ Bayern Munich's Lewandowski set to undergo groin surgery

Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski is reportedly set to undergo an operation for his groin injury during the winter break of the Bundesliga, Kicker revealed.

However, if any of his recent performances are anything to go by it seems like the Poland international has a clean bill of health after scoring a brace in Bayern's 4-0 thriller over Borussia Dortmund

“I do not feel any problems while running, kicking the ball, so there is no pressure,” Lewandowski said recently when asked about his condition.

Bayern are set to play their last fixture before the break on December, and the side's first match is expected to be played on January 19 which makes it ideal for Lewandowski to have the surgery in order to have time to rest and recover.

Lewandowski has scored 16 goals from 11 matches played in the Bundesliga and according to reports, there is no other player who has accumulated this amount of goals this season.

The 31-year-old is also one of the top goalscorers for his native after scoring five goals in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Poland are set to take on Israel on November 16 and three days later they will meet Slovenia to conclude their European campaign.
