Atletico Rafaela forward Matias Godoy has confirmed Chelsea are interested in his signature.
The 17-year-old Argentine is regarded as one of the brightest prospects from South America, and European giants are already circling for his signature.
Chelsea are currently serving a two-window ban on signing new players, but are optimistic they will have the ban reduced to a single transfer window, which will allow them to sign new players in January.
Speaking to TYCSports recently, Godoy revealed that there has been interest from the English giants and that he will be willing to make the move when the time is right.
"The fact that Chelsea is following me is a little moving and I take it in the best way possible but must continue to work," he said.
"I am full of pride. Me and my family have made a very big sacrifice to get here,"
"Already being in the National Team is a great pride for me."
Lampard has an array of attacking talent in his young team, even though there might be one more spot upfront if they decide to let Olivier Giroud leave in January.
The Frenchman is growing frustrated due to lack of opportunities and might decide to leave in search of regular playing time.
The ban will, however, give other sides including AC Milan an upper hand in the chase for the youngster.
