Serie A giants Inter Milan are preparing a £6m bid for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in January.
Giroud has fallen down the pecking order under Frank Lampard at Chelsea and it is believed the striker is frustrated by lack of game time at Stamford Bridge.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Conte is searching for extra attacking options for frontline to back Romelu Lukaku with Giroud keen for a move ahead of Euro 2020.
Giroud’s situation at his club has been made worse by the brilliant outing youngster Tammy Abraham is having at the club with Lampard preferring Belgian Michy Batshuayi as his understudy.
The reports claim that Conte is frustrated by his side lack of locking out games early and Giroud’s contribution from the bench will be valuable with Chelsea willing to listen to offers.
Giroud's Outing at Chelsea
Giroud has scored 19 goals in 69 appearances for the west London club, while providing 13 assists for team-mates.
He has been one key member of the French national team and captained his side to a 2-1 win over Moldova where he scored a goal on Thursday.
Coach Didier Deschamps has advised the striker to look for more game time if he is to be considered for future assignments with the likes of Anthony Martial and Alexander Lacazette knocking at his door.
