Yaya Toure opens the lid on his pre-match superstition

Former Manchester City and Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure has revealed his pre-match superstition is to always put his left boot on first.

Toure established himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe especially in the 2013/14 season where he scored 20 Premier League goals for City

The Ivorian also ended his career at City with a 100% penalty record after he converted all 11 of his spot-kicks in the league, and all three in cup competitions.

Speaking while on Amazon Prime's new show called Back Of The Net, Toure revealed his pre-match superstition, "My only one is I always start from my left leg. I put the boot on first, and yeah, I put it on the left leg (first), that's perfect. And after that, we're all good."

Toure is currently playing for Qingdao Huanghai in China, but is expected to leave the club for a new adventure elsewhere soon.
