Outgoing Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino left an emotional message to the players, minutes before leaving the club on Tuesday night.
The Argentine scribbled the message on the tactics board following his sacking, which ended a five-year association with the London club.
Jose Mourinho was appointed as his successor, coming less than 12 hours after his exit.
He left with his entire backroom staff, but not before leaving a message for his players;
“Big thanks to you all. We can’t say goodbye… you will always be in our hearts,"
Many of the payers and managers alike have sent their messages to the Argentine, who had grown into a fan-favorite despite a trophyless period at the helm.
His best moment at the club was perhaps their run to the Champions League final in May, where they lost 2-0 to Premier League side, Liverpool.
His successor, Jose Mourinho, too joined the managers paying tribute to his impressive work when he made his first media appearance as the club's manager.
