Zesco United coach George Lwandamina has advised his team to be positive and not look for excuses ahead of tomorrow's CAF Champions League Group A encounter against Primiero de Agosto.
The weather in Luanda is different from what Zesco United is used to but Lwandamina believes since they have no control over it they can not place any blame on it but just be positive and work hard.
"Weather is one of the five distractive elements of football and we have no control over it. A responsible person should not look for an excuse or anything to blame. If everyone thinks the way am thinking we have to be positive and not blame things in life. Sometimes we don't do well because give away the power to do better so that we have an excuse," he said.
"The morale in camp is okay and the players are in high spirits. We did not do well against Choma Green Eagles as we drew that game but we have put it behind us and we're looking forward to this one," he added.
And striker Jesse Jackson Were believes winning the first game will be crucial for Zesco in the campaign but he is not expecting an easy match in Angola.
"Winning the first game is always crucial at this stage of the Competition. It won't be easy in Angola but we are confident of getting a positive result, " he said.
Zesco United and Agosto will square off at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda at 15:00hrs. Elsewhere in Lubumbashi, Congolese Giants TP Mazembe will have a home date against Zamalek in the other Group A mouthwatering encounter at TPM Stadium which will Kick-Off at 15:00hrs CAT.
