All the talk tonight will be around Jose Mourinho's return to Old Trafford, but there's still a football match to be played between two sides desperate to claim points and stay in the hunt for Europe.
Down the years, there have been some classics between Man United and Spurs. Here are four such battles to remember before tonight.
Spurs 3-5 Man United
In 2001, Sir Alex's Red Devils completed one of the greatest comebacks in Premier League history, trailing 3-0 at the break but storming back to win 5-3 at White Hart Lane. Andy Cole, Laurent Blanc, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Juan Sebastian Veron and a David Beckham were all on the score sheet that day.
Man United 5-2 Spurs
A decade ago, United staged yet another memorable fightback against Spurs. United found themselves down 2-0 to goals by Luka Modric and Darren Bent, but a controversial Cristiano Ronaldo penalty provided an escape route early in the second half. Wayne Rooney scored a brace, Ronaldo added another and Dimitar Berbatov got on the score sheet against his old club as United showed their title mettle.
Man United 2-3 Spurs
In 2012, Spurs ended their 23-year wait for a victory at Old Trafford with a thrilling 3-2 win. Jan Vertonghen and Gareth Bale's goals had Spurs in control at halftime, only for Nani to reduce the deficit. American star Clint Dempsey scored to make it 3-1 but Shinji Kagawa struck back immediately. At 3-2, United twice hit the woodwork through Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney and had numerous penalty shouts waved away, but Spurs somehow held on for the win.
Spurs 3-0 Man United
Before the match, Mauricio Pochettino was winless in six previous games against United and Spurs desperately needed a win to stay in touch with surprise Premier League leaders Leicester.
Here are a few cracking goals in clashes between the sides over the years too.
