Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed that he will return to Serie A once his contract with LA Galaxy expires.
In an interview with the magazine GQ (via MilanNews.it), the Ibrahimovic said that he will be back in Italy and gave a clue of an AC Milan reunion though he was coy to reveal the name of the team.
“I will go to a team that has to win again, renew its history and is looking for a challenge against everyone. This is the only way for me to find the necessary stimuli to surprise you again.
“As a footballer, it is not just a matter of choosing a team, there are other factors that must fit in. Even the interests of my family. See you soon in Italy,” he said.
Since Ibrahimovic announced that he won’t renew his contract with LA Galaxy, there have been reports about a potential return to AC Milan with the Telegraph reporting on Monday that he had agreed to rejoin the Milan club.
According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Rossoneri’s contract offer is for 18 months, worth up to €6m.
