Francis Kimanzi suspended after CECAFA win over Tanzania

The CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup Organizing Committee has handed Harambee Stars head coach Francis Kimanzi a two-match ban after an alleged incitement.

According to reports, Kimanzi's ban was served after he allegedly urged his players not to turn up for their opening clash against Tanzania due to three of the Taifa Stars players lacking passports.

The ban now means that Kimanzi will have to manage Stars from the stands in the remainder of Group B matches against Sudan and Zanzibar.

The former Mathare United head coach will make a return in the touchline should Kenya proceed to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The game was forced to start 10 minutes late after Harambee Stars players failed to walk into the pitch from the tunnel.
