Harambee Stars skipper Victor Wanyama finally made an appearance for Tottenham Hotspur under Jose Mourinho in the 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.
Wanyama failed to make the matchday squad in every of Jose Mourinho's games since replacing Mauricio Pochettinho as the Spurs manager last month.
The Kenyan captain finally made the squad in a dead rubber match against Bayern Munich in which both teams had already sealed a place in the last 16.
With Spurs trailing 3-1 Wanyama was introduced in the 81st minute coming on for Eric Dier to feature in first game under Mourinho.
Speaking after the match, Mourinho revealed that he learned a lot from his players after resting his big guns, "A good match for me.
"don’t want to speak about conclusions because it’s too strong a word but I would say it’s important information. I give you clearly a positive example because the positives examples are easier.
"Today I learn a lot about Foyth, he didn’t play one minute with me until today and I learn more in this 90 minutes than in two or three weeks of work without playing."
