Mino Raiola insists Erling Haaland chose Borussia Dortmund over Manchester United, despite meeting boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United insisted they pulled out of the race to sign the teenager because of concerns over the way the deal was structured, which included payments to Raiola and Haaland's father. It was also suggested Raiola and Alf Inge Haaland insisted on a buy-out clause in the contract.
But Raiola has hit back and dismissed United's claims, before insisting the striker simply made the decision for the better of his career.
“I do not know if Manchester United are briefing this but if they are then they are covering their own loss and that I find strange and disappointing," he told the Telegraph.
“They spoke to him the most. Everybody had the chance to talk to him in person. We let that happen especially when he knows Ole. Clearly he [Erling Haaland] felt that at this moment it was not the right step in his career. There is nothing against Manchester United or Ole.”
Haaland, 19, completed his move to Dortmund, after months of speculation over a move to Old Trafford.
