Ugandan defender Jeriga Atendele has reportedly left West Nile-based club Onduparaka for newly-promoted outfit Wakiso Giants, Kawowo Sports revealed.
Atendele initially joined Onduparaka as a free agent at the start of the 2019/20 season but it has emerged that he has ended his association with the club.
Atendele is currently ranked as one of the best players in the right-back position in Uganda alongside the likes of Paul Willa (Vipers), Ashraf Mandela (URA), Filbert Obenchan (KCCA), Allan Drajua (Busoga United), Denis Okot Oola (BUL), Umaru Mukobe (Busoga United) among others.
He is best known for the offensive and defensive exploits in equal measure at right back.
According to reports, the decision came after the club was not paying the players which in return led Charles Livingstone Mbabazi (Head coach), Sadiq Ssempigi (assistant coach) and Yusuf Ssenyonjo (goalkeeping coach) to also make their way out of Onduparaka.
Wakiso Giants will welcome Police to Wakisha Resource on Saturday, January 11 in the first round of the Uganda Premier League.
In the Stanbic Uganda Cup, Wakiso will travel to Bugogo in the Round of 64 between 20-26 January.
