Usman Abd’Allah has reacted few hours after Enyimba announced his sack as coach of the side.
Following their 4-0 loss to Plateau United on Sunday, Enyimba announced on Monday that a string of poor results was the reason for the decision to sack the coach.
Abd’Allah said he took a break because he needed to be with his family and rest.
“I have just taken a break. I just want to go home and rest. I will think about the next move but for now, I want to be with my family,” he told Brila.
“I made a different decision to stay after last season, a lot of things have been happening but it had nothing to do with the result on Sunday.
“There are a lot of things to say, but at the moment I just want to rest and I asked the club to allow me to leave.”
Usman Abd’allah, 45, joined Enyimba in December 2017, and won the Nigeria Professional Football League title in 2018/19 season, finishing first ahead of his state club Kano Pillars.
