Nigeria may be up against familiar foe South Africa or Ivory Coast in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Africa's draw for the qualifier will be held on Tuesday at the Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo, Egypt.
The Super Eagles are seeded in pot one alongside nine other teams based on the latest FIFA ranking.
The other nine countries in pot one are African champions Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia Morocco, Ghana, Egypt, Cameroon, Mali, and DR Congo.
No team in pot 1 will face each other, meaning, with South Africa and Ivory Coast placed in pot 2, any of them could be up against Nigeria.
South Africa finished second behind Nigeria in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers but made it to the tournament automatically as host country.
The last meeting between Bafana Bafana and the Super Eagles was at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where Nigeria won 2-1 in the quarter-final.
