After undergoing a minor surgery for a knee injury, Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi appears to be making a quick recovery.
Ndidi looks fit for selection in Wednesday's English Premier League fixture against West Ham United.
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers initially stated that Ndidi could be out for up to six weeks after the surgery, but the former Liverpool manager revealed that the 23-year-old has made a surprise recovery.
“There’s a great chance he (Ndidi) could be in the squad tomorrow,” Rodgers told a news conference on Tuesday.
“He’s made a miraculous recovery. It’s been 11 days.
“It’s a great testament to him and the medical team. We didn’t want to rush him, but over the last few days, he’s been fantastic. He’s had tests and come through them well.
“It’s a real colossal player for us. He covers a lot of space for our attacking players. There aren’t many better than him. It’s a huge boost for us.”
Ndidi has featured in 20 Premier League games for Leicester City this season and scored two goals.
