Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has posited that Nigeria must be at it's best to finish top of the 2022 World Cup qualifier Group C.
CAF on Tuesday placed Nigeria in Group C alongside Cape Verde, Central African Republic and Liberia.
Reacting after the draw in Cairo, Rohr described his opponents as tricky.
“We have three tricky opponents in Group C.
"A few years ago, Cape Verde were Africa’s best FIFA ranked team, CAR have some good players in Europe and we played a friendly in Liberia recently that wasn’t easy...we’ve to be at our best against them.”
Nigeria’s first game, coming up in October this year, will be against the Lone Star of Liberia, who reached this stage after shoving neighbours Sierra Leone in the first round.
