Southampton are reportedly the latest English Premier League club to be monitoring Celtic defender Jeremier Frimpong according to severla reports.
Frimpong who has been an outstanding player for Celtic since his £350,000 move from Manchester City in the summer of 2019.
The Athletic reported that the reigning Scottish champions are likely to not sell the youngster at the end of the transfer window and are likely to increase his price tag to divert the attention on him.
The Dutch-born Ghanaian signed a four-year deal in September 2019 and City are believed to have inserted a 30 per cent sell-on clause.
Frimpong is currently on the sidelines after he picked up an injury during Celtic's 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Wednesday, January 22.
The Hoops manager, however, admitted that his injury didn't appear as serious when the medical staff took a look at him but it is still not clear if he make the squad against St Johnstone.
"We’re not sure Frimpong will be fit for Wednesday but it’s not bad and isn’t going to be long term," Lennon said.
