Jake Hastie has made his return to Rangers following the termination of his contract at League One club Rotherham United, according to the Daily Record.
Hastie was meant to spend the entire 2019/20 season playing at Rotherham, however, he struggled to make an impact in the squad which led to less game time and both parties reached an agreement to end their association with the youngster.
The 20-year-old managed to make 16 appearances for Rotherham across all competition and scored three goals in the process.
He is now back at Rangers and it is yet to be seen what Gers boss Steven Gerrard will decide on Hastie's future.
The Scottish joined Rangers back in the summer of 2019 after signing a four-year contract from Motherwell on a fee of £350,000.
The Gers could decide to ship Hastie out on loan for the remainder of the campaign if Gerrard fails to find space for him in his current squad filled with quality and that will certainly be stiff competition for the youngster.
He made his official Rotherham debut in September 2019 and also scored his first goal for the club in the same game against Doncaster Rovers.
