Rangers are reportedly working on a move to bolster their squad before the close of the January transfer window and Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Luis has emerged as a transfer target.
The Glasgow outfit has been offloading a number of players this month and focusing on building a squad that has world-class quality.
However, the motivation behind signing another player has come after their shocking 2-1 to bottom-placed Hearts over the weekend and they will look to get back to winning aways in the Scottish Premiership in a rapid title race between fellow Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Gers are reportedly eager to sign the Sporting midfielder as soon as possible and reports have claimed that the club is working hard behind the scenes to make sure the deal is finalised.
The 20-year-old came through academy ranks at Sporting and was handed his senior debut back in 2018 but has been struggling to get game time opportunities this season.
Luis has managed to make two league appearances and three in the UEFA Europa League which if all things considered, a move to Rangers would be inevitable and also good for experience.
