After an excellent start to the year, URA FC's coach Sam Ssimbwa and striker Cromwell Rwothomio were named as Uganda Premier League coach and player for the month of January respectively.
Ssimbwa guided the Tax Collectors to four victories in five games in January. Rwothomio scored three goals and had two assists in the same month.
URA kicked off the year with a 3-1 win over BUL FC, before pipping Bright stars 1-0 and topped it with a 2-1 win over second-placed KCCA FC on Friday.
Ssimbwa beat Busoga United tactician Alex Kikomeko and Bright Stars' Paul Kiwanuka to the accolade. Rwothomio beat his teammate Saidi Kyeyune and Police FC winger Ben Ocen to the honours.
Both winners walked away with a cash prize of $200 and a trophy courtesy of sponsors Pilsner Lager.
