They may share a stadium, but the animosity and rivalry between Inter & AC Milan mean that the two Italian giants live worlds apart.

In the history of Serie A, there have been a number of stellar stars to be so brave as to cross the divide and represent both clubs. Which high-profile names have donned the colours of both the Rossoneri and the Nerazzurri?

🇫🇷 Patrick Vieira

Signed for Arsenal from AC Milan in 1996 before moving to Inter in 2006. Born in Dakar, Senegal but went on to win 107 caps for France, with whom he won World Cup glory in 1998 and European Championships success in 2000. He was also an "Invincible" with Arsenal in 2004.

🇳🇱 Edgar Davids

Born in Suriname, won the Champions League with Ajax and came out of retirement in 2012 to become player-manager of Barnet. An eventful career.

🇧🇷 Ronaldo

The great Brazilian also played for both Barcelona & Real Madrid.

Nigerian defender with unmistakable green hair who signed for Derby County on loan from Milan in 2000.

🇮🇹 Andrea Pirlo

An Italian legend, the midfield maestro won the Serie A Player of the Year award three times.

🇮🇹 Christian Vieri

Inter paid Lazio £32m - a world record at the time - for the striker in 1999. He notched 122 goals in 190 appearances for the club, a staggering record, which included the Capocannoniere award in 2002-03.

🇮🇹 Antonio Cassano

In 2001, Cassano was the most expensive teenager in history at the time when he moved from Bari to Roma for €30m.

🇳🇱 Clarence Seedorf

The first player to win the Champions League with three different clubs.

🇦🇷 Hernán Crespo

Argentinian striker Crespo moved to Lazio from Parma in 2000 for an eye-watering €56m and two years later, his €36m move to Inter was sealed. Crespo was born to score goals, and he won three consecutive Scudetto titles alongside Zlatan. He's now the São Paulo manager!

🇸🇪 Zlatan Ibrahimović

Now back at Milan for a second stint at the club, the super Swede won three consecutive Serie A titles with Inter between 2007 & 2009 and moved to Barcelona in the high-profile swap deal that brought Samuel Eto'o to the club.

On the day of his 20th birthday in 2010, Super Mario sealed a big-money move away from Inter to Man City. He now plays for Monza in Serie B.

Talented left-footed Ghanaian star who won the European treble with Inter in 2010. Balotelli was there too.

Nicknamed "The divine ponytail" and famously skied a penalty in the 1994 World Cup Final against Brazil.
