Strasbourg keeper Bingourou Kamara has said that he's ready to pledge his international future to Senegal if handed an invite by national team coach Aliuo Cisse.
The 23-year-old shot-stopper is eligible to play for three countries; France, Senegal and Mauritania. He has played for France youth teams but has never hidden his ambition to represent Lions of Teranga at the senior stage.
In an interview with the Senegalese magazine, Record, Kamara said that he's willing and ready to join Senegal if he was called up.
“ If I am called, it will be an honour to take up the invite. I think any footballer would like to represent their nation. I don't hide the fact that I am interested in Senegal,” he said.
Senegal Number One
The French-born youngster says he has been following Senegal's matches especially at the African Cup of Nations.
“I followed closely the 2019 AFCON and I really liked the way Senegal played. Unfortunately, they lost in the final. But I think they had a very good outing. They narrowly missed the final, but it's only a matter of time. The next outing will be good inshallah,” he concluded.
The debate on who will be Senegal's Number One is heating up after regular starter Alfred Gomis got injured while on duty with his club Dijon against Nantes a fortnight ago.
