Winks: Son's injury 'massive blow' to Spurs

Harry Winks says the likely season-ending injury to winger Son Heung-min is a massive blow to Tottenham Hotspur.

Son suffered an arm injury during Tottenham's 3-2 win to Aston Villa over the weekend as he netted two goals for his side. And now the South Korean is facing between six and 12 weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his fractured arm.

This will be a massive blow to Spurs ahead of their busy schedule in the Champions League as well as a chase for a top-four finish. With Harry Kane still on the sidelines, this leaves Jose Mourinho's men without a recognized striker.

"It’s a massive blow for us. He’s a top player and in such good form at the moment, especially coming off the back of the weekend. He brings more than just his goals to the team, his work-rate, energy, and experience. A massive loss for us, but we’ve got good enough players who can fill in and hopefully score us goals," he said.

Son has netted six goals in five games for the north London side.
