Proline FC hopes of remaining in Uganda Premier shot up after a feel-good win over BUL FC at Lugogo Stadium on Wednesday.
The basement club registered their fifth win of the season and improved their point tally to 18 but remain at the bottom.
Rogers Mato scored a brace while Mustafa Kizza added the third to cancel out BUL's Joseph Semujju early strike.
In Jinja, Kyetume outscored Mbarara City in a seven-goal thriller to move closer to safety with 26 points. Veteran forward Robert Ssentongo was the hero as he bagged the winner with virtually the last kick of the game.
Ssentongo opened the scoring in fourth minute before Brian Aheebwa levelled five minutes later. Deo Isejja restored Kyetume's lead in the 12h minute but Aheebwa once again pulled Mbarara back to level terms. Solomon Okwalinga then pulled the visitors ahead in the 59th minute but Feni Ali made sure the hosts were in the game with an equaliser.
At Kavumba, Express FC beat Tooro United 2-1 to register their second win on the trot and the eighth of the season.
Frank Seenyondo and Frank Kalanda scored in the first half before Michael Kawooya pulled one back in the dying minutes.
