French-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah believes Lille is a better team than Olympique Marseille if he were to pick teams in Ligue 1, Ghanasoccernet revealed.
Appiah who plays for Nantes said that Lille were the better opposition to face following his side's loss to them.
"We failed to show the same face to Marseille, to show the same things. This Lille team has better arguments to put us in difficulty Marseille," has he told Ouest France.
"Faced it runs fast, it keeps the ball, it's tough and it takes depth. It's complicated to play as a block. They also have arguments in the middle. It's a fairly complete team.
"Lille is the most balanced team, which has the most strength everywhere. It has more attacking arguments than Marseille."
Marseille are currently second on the Ligue 1 standings while Lille occupy fourth place.
