Ghana international Christopher Antwi-Adjei has suffered an injury blow ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan, Ghanasoccernet reported.
Antwi-Adjei sustained a thigh injury during Paderborn's 2-1 loss to FC Koln in the Bundesliga and may set to be on the sidelines for a couple of weeks.
The 25-year-old featured for 42 minutes on the pitch before he was withdrawn by Gerrit Holtmann after he signalled to be in pain.
The abovementioned injury now leaves Ghana head coach Charles Akonnor in a sticky situation as he has to find a quick replacement for Antwi-Adjei.
Antwi-Adjei earned his first international cap in the Afcon qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe in 2019.
