Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray are reportedly set to overtake Fenerbahce in a bid to sign Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah, Ghanasoccernet reported.
Fenerbahce have been leading the race in Turkey to sign the Inter Milan defender after they failed to acquire their initial target Alexander Kolarov and Ricardo Rodriguez.
However, reports claim Galatasaray want to take over the move and are prepared to make a tempting offer for the Ghanaian.
Asamoah has been struggling this season with injury woes and that is what led manager Antonio Conte to bring Ashley Young to fill the gap with Asamoah being on the sidelines - he last featured for Inter in their victory Brescia back in October 2019.
The 31-year-old has made a total of 11 appearances across all competitions this season.
