Italian side AC Milan has returned with a fresh bid for Arsenal defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira, according to reports in Italy.
Torreira has been linked with a move to Milan this summer with reports suggesting that the Gunners want around £40m to let him go. Milan failed with their bid for the Uruguayan last year but the north London side had no intention of selling their player.
The 24-year-old signed for Arsenal in the summer of 2018 for a reported fee of around £26m from Sampdoria. The midfielder made an encouraging start to life in England, making 50 appearances in all competitions in his first season with the Gunners.
The Italian giants still hold an interest in the 24-year-old, though, and Corriere dello Sport reports that they will make a move as and when the transfer window reopens.
Torreira is now undergoing rehabilitation after he suffered a fractured ankle as a result of a challenge from Portsmouth player James Bolton during his side's 2-0 win in FA Cup clash last month.
