🤡 Throwback to when Super Mario did THIS against LA Galaxy in a pre-season game

The talented yet temperamental Italian striker Mario Balotelli has never been shy to court controversy throughout his career.

"Why always me" became a catchphrase after Balotelli set off fireworks from his home in 2011. The catchphrase appeared on a t-shirt he showed to the world after scoring in City's emphatic 6-1 win at Old Trafford in the Manchester Derby.

Today, though, we're throwing it back to July 2011 and his antics against LA Galaxy in the Herbalife World Football Challenge, a pre-season game that saw Roberto Mancini substitute him immediately.

The ex-Inter, Man City, AC Milan, Liverpool, Nice & Marseille striker, currently on the books of Monza in Serie B, is now 30 years old. Where has the time gone? We wonder what twists and turns lie around the next corner in his colourful career.
