🏆 Champions: Bayern Munich crowned Bundesliga kings for 8th consecutive time

Bayern Munich have secured their eighth consecutive domestic title following a 1-0 win over relegation-threatened Werder Bremen.

Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal for Munich to take his tally to 31, the best in a single season.

With just 3 minutes remaining to half time, there came heartbreak for the hosts as they could not see it out until the first-half whistle. All their good work was underdone as they failed to fully clear the free-kick and as Boateng worked the ball back into the box, Robert Lewandowski got clear to finish off his 31 Bundesliga goal of the season!

The officials had a quick look at this as Lewandowski was very tight with the last defender but the goal stood.

Disallowed goal

What a beautiful finish from Lewandowski and it was a shame for Bayern as it didn't count! Kimmich's vision to find Muller down the right was sublime, and the forward's first-time cross was backheeled into the net by Lewandowski but Muller had drifted into an offside position.

Red card

It was a little bit harsh for a second offense as Alphonso Davies was shown a red card for blocking off the run of Milos Veljkovic down the right.

This result means they have taken 58 points from a possible 66, yet their season is far from over.

Title glory now gives Bayern the opportunity of securing a domestic double against Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal final as well as challenging in the Champions League when its return is confirmed.
