Braga starlet Joao Palhinha is on the verge of completing move to Wolves

Braga are reportedly preparing for the possibility of Joao Palhinha leaving the club in the summer following links to Wolverhampton Wanderers according to A Bola.

According to O Jogo, Wolves are on the verge of completing the signing of Palhinha who will potentially be joining other Portuguese players at the club.

The 24-year-old who is known as a tackler, he looks like the ideal player who could match up to the likes of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho.

Furthermore, no player in the Wolves squad has surpassed Palhinha's tally of 3.3 tackles per games despite the heavyweights of Romain Saiss and Leandro Dendoncker.

The youngster has been absolute class for Braga since he joined them on loan from parent club Sporting Lisbon and he has seen his performances place him on the radar of several clubs besides Wolves.

Palhinha has made 37 appearances this season across all competitions while scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process.

It is yet to be seen if the Lisbon-born player will enter his stay at Braga or if Sporting will sell him to an English team eventually.

Sporting's president Federico Varandas recently poured water on rumours suggesting that the club had reached an agreement with Wolves, telling Canal 11 that both parties have not met.
