Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Jonas Hofmann opened up on his side's upcoming season finale against Hertha Berlin as well the massive clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
In an interview with the club's official website, Hofmann shared his thoughts ahead of their remaining fixtures and what he hopes the club can achieve.
On the last game of the season:
"We know exactly what’s in store for us. We’ve been stressing for some time now that we really want to be in the Champions League, and have a very good starting position to achieve that goal ahead of the final matchday.
"Now it’s down to taking the final step on Saturday, so we can crown our good season."
The mounting pressure ahead of the remaining fixtures:
"We were in 1st place for a few weeks in the Hinrunde. At that time, I didn’t feel like we were under any particularly high pressure.
"We had a lot of fun playing football and had a lot of joy in developing our game. We can achieve something great on Saturday. I view that as positive pressure, and I’m sure that we will handle it well."
Expectations ahead of the clash against Hertha Berlin:
"I don’t expect Hertha to sit back and defend. They can play completely freely, but that’s what makes them dangerous.
"They’re definitely not coming up for a nice weekend in Mönchengladbach, and they want to end their season with a victory.
"Accordingly, we can’t take our opponents lightly and need to deal with this challenge with total concentration."
