Olympique Lyonnais sporting director Juninho is resigned to losing his stop stars following their Champions League elimination subsequently missing out on European football next week.
Ligue 1 was cancelled in May due to the coronavirus pandemic while Lyon were in the seventh place and they had banked on winning Champions League to qualify for next year's tournament.
However, Bayern Munich punished the French's profligacy in front of the posts as they ended their impressive run with a 3-0 defeat on Wednesday.
Lyon sporting director Juninho not mincing his words admitted that they will be departures during the summer transfer window.
“There will be departures but I’m not worried,” Juninho said. “When you have players who play very well in a competition like this, like Moussa and Houssem... We will have to show the same spirit to be back in the Champions League next season.
“The aim now is to continue working immediately with Ligue 1... We will have to work. If we continue like this, we will be back in this competition.”
Among the star performers that are likely to attract attention from bigger clubs include Houssem Aourar and Moussa Dembele. French media reporting Arsenal are interested in signing the talented 22-year-old Aouar.
