It is another week and another time to give a follow on the various Kenyans plying their trade in foreign leagues.
On Saturday, Johanna Omolo completed the full minutes as Cercle Brugge recorded their second win on the trot in the Belgian top division following their 3-2 win away at Mechelen.
The hosts had taken a first-half lead through Togui but Brugge’s latest signing in Chelsea’s forward Ugbo restored parity nine minutes after the resumption. Brugge was to go and take the lead through Hotic three minutes later but Mechelen levelled matters in the 64th minute through Vranckx.
The visitors, however, had the last laugh as Sommers goal ten minutes from time ensured that the Paul Clemente side rose to fourth on the log with six points after three games; just three points below leaders Charleroi.
Omolo received a yellow card in the 29th minute and will hope to continue with his same rile when his team hosts Kortrijk in their next league outing.
On the same day, Stars winger Cliff Nyakeya was introduced in the second half for Mahmoud Toba as FC Masr managed a 1-0 win over El Gouna in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday.
Despite the win, Masr still occupies the last position in the league with 16 points after 20 games.
