🎯 Marcus Rashford makes history in Man United win

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford made history in his side’s 3-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.

Rashford gave United a 2-1 lead with a well-taken goal with the strike being the 1,000th goal in the club’s history.

The 20-times champions of England started the season on 9,994 goals, having added 112 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019/20, with Anthony Martial leading the way by supplying a career-best 23.

Following Donny van de Beek's debut effort against Crystal Palace, three goals away at Luton Town on Tuesday and Rashford's wonder-goal to make it 2-1 during in the dramatic 3-2 win at Brighton became the one that clinched the milestone.

There is a belief that the record might have been surpassed years ago as the club was founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878.

The currently recorded tally dates back in1886, with two Jack Doughty goals in a 2-2 draw against Fleetwood Rangers in the FA Cup.
