TimesLIVE has exclusively reported that Pitso Mosimane has bid farwell to Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of becoming Al Ahly's new head coach.
"Pitso Mosimane has resigned from Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly to take up a job with one of the top clubs in north Africa," said the outlet.
"TimesLIVE sources have linked him up with continental giants Al Ahly of Egypt as well as his bitter rivals in the CAF Champions League Wydad Casablanca of Morocco," added the report.
The news follows shortly after Al Ahly's President publicly saluted Mosimane on winning a treble in South Africa in the past season and a few days after Ahly parted ways with René Weiler.
Mosimane, a former Bafana Bafana coach, is the South African league's best ever coach with a record five league titles, four domestic cups, as well as the CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup.
