Juventus have been handed a 3-0 win over Napoli after they failed to honour a Serie A match scheduled on October 4.
The Naples club has also been docked a point for their no-show at the Allianz Arena.
BREAKING: Italian judges have decided that Juventus get a 3-0 win over Napoli, after their players didn’t travel to Turin due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the squad 👀 pic.twitter.com/TJuRAf2ZzT— 433 (@433) October 14, 2020
Napoli were not allowed to travel to Turin for the match, after two of their players tested positive for COVID-19, with local authorities warning it could be dangerous.
Juventus though turned up for the fixture as planned, despite knowing that Napoli could not honour the tie.
"In the opinion of this sports judge, the case of force majeure is not proven," a statement read.
Napoli will most-likely appeal the decision in the coming days.
