Harambee Stars winger Ayub Timbe has confirmed that he is leaving Chinese side Beijing Renhe.
Timbe has been at Renhe for the past three years with loan deals in between and according to the player, the time he spent with the team were beautiful years as he wished them the best in the new season.
“Thanks for the 3 beautiful years Beijing Renhe!! I wish the club and everyone behind it good luck for the rest of the season!!!,” Timbe noted in a Tweet.
The winger joined Renhe in 2017 from Belgium side Lierse and went on to score 17 goals in 49 appearances for the club; his other stint in China coming with Heilongjiang Lava Spring (loan) where he bagged two goals in six appearances.
The winger’s last action came in the colours of English Championship side Reading FC having featured for Genk, Anderlecht and Germinal Beershot previously in his career.
Meanwhile, there has been a twist with Brian Mandela’s move to PSL newbies Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila after there were reports that he was spotted at Mamelodi Sundowns headquarter.
The Harambee Stars assistant captain was one of the 22 players unveiled by TTM earlier in the week but according to reports from Soccer Laduma, the player could make a U-Turn and sign for Sundowns.
Current Downs joint head coach Rulani Mokwena almost signed Mandela when he was in charge of Orlando Pirates last season but a deal didn’t materialize; the tactician keen to work with Mandela as they look to add another centre back.
