Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng scored his first Serie B goal for Monza despite suffering a 2-1 loss to Chievo Verona at the weekend, Ghanasoccernet reported.
However, Verona bounced back and levelled the scoreline through Filip Dordevic's ball in the second half after 49 minutes of action.
Dordevic scored a brace when he netted the visitor's second goal of the evening in the 64th minute and it was enough to give the side three points away from home.
This loss is the first for Monza in this season and they will be looking to bounce back when they travel to Cittadella on October 31.
Boateng joined Monza from Serie A side Fiorentina during the summer transfer window.
