Borussia M'gladbach 2-2 Real Madrid: Casemiro's stoppage time goal saves Los Blanco's blushes

Real Madrid came from two goals down to avoid a defeat as they forced a 2-2 draw with Borussia M'gladbach on Tuesday evening.

Marcus Thuram's brace gave Gladbach a lead that seemed to hand the Bundesliga club all the three points but Karim Benzema pulled one goal back before Casemiro secure a point in the stoppage time.

Gladbach took the lead in the 33rd minute through  Marcus Thuram. A quick passing found Plea on the right-wing, he spotted Thuram's run to the back post and slid a superb pass into the path of the Frenchman who clipped the ball past Courtois.

In the second half, Thuram netted a brace that saw the Los Blancos trail by two goals and on the verge of losing their second consecutive group stage game. Lainer send in across and Pleat met it first as it dropped. Courtois pushed it out straight to Thuram, and everybody assumed he was offside, but he was yards on.

Zinedine Zidane's men pulled one back in the 87th minute through Frenchman Karim Benzema who kissed the back of the net from Casemiro's assist.

Casemiro netted a stoppage-time goal to secure a point for the Spanish giants as they earned their first point in the Group stage.
