Manchester United through manager Ole Gunnar Solskjer has confirmed that defender Allex Telles tested positive for Covid-19.
Telles, a summer signing for United from FC Porto, made his debut in the club’s 2-1 win over PSG last week but has not been part of the team in their last two games much to the amazement of the club fans.
Aked where Telles was after their heavy win over RB Leipzig on Wednesday night, Solskjaer told MUTV: “Telles has tested positive for coronavirus, he’s been out for a few days. “He has no symptoms, he’s fine and he’ll be back soon.”
The left-back was used as a left-winger against PSG and gave a performance that thrilled the club fans with United reverting to a back four in the games against Chelsea and Leipzig.
Solskjaer will hope that he can have the player back when they take on Arsenal in the first day of November.
