Just days after coming back from a long-term injury, Real Madrid's Eden Hazard has reportedly picked up a knock, his club manager Zinedine Zidane has confirmed.
This happened during the Los Blancos' first victory of the 2020/21 Champions League season and, speaking after the 3-2 win over Inter Zidane added that it knock should not cause any alarm.
Although Vinícius and Rodrygo came on and combined for the winner, it was Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard who started alongside Karim Benzema in attack.
On that new-look trio, Zidane said: “Asensio and Hazard have had to work really hard because they both missed a lot of time with injury. They’re working well as part of the team. They did a good job. Hazard suffered a knock in the game, but it’s nothing more.”
Message for Maradona
In his post-match conference, the former France international also left a message for Diego Maradona as the Argentine goes for surgery on a blood clot on the brain. He said: “Many people are wishing him well and I do too. I hope all goes well, for him and his family.”
